چکیده
BackgroundSecondary CNS lymphoma is a rare but potentially lethal event in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. We aimed to assess the activity and safety of an intensive, CNS-directed chemoimmunotherapy consolidated by autologous haematopoietic stem-cell transplantation (HSCT) secondary lymphoma.MethodsThis international, single-arm, phase 2 trial was done 24 hospitals Italy, UK, Netherlands, Switzerland. Adults (aged 18–70 years) histologically diagnosed involvement at time primary diagnosis or relapse Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group Performance Status 3 less were enrolled received three courses MATRix (rituximab 375 mg/m2, intravenous infusion, day 0; methotrexate 3·5 g/m2, first 0·5 g/m2 15 min followed h 1; cytarabine every 12 h, 1 infusions, days 3; thiotepa 30 4) RICE etoposide 100 mg/m2 per 500–1000 mL over 60 1, 2, ifosfamide 5 1000 infusion mesna support, 2; carboplatin area under curve 500 2) carmustine–thiotepa HSCT (carmustine 400 glucose 5% solution 1–2 ?6; mg/kg saline ?5 ?4). Autologous stem cell transplantation for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma with residual extranodal involvement
BACKGROUND/AIMS Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) in Koreans is frequently accompanied by extranodal (EN) disease at the time of autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT). We sought to determine whether high EN involvement affected survival following ASCT in Koreans. METHODS We reviewed 27 patients who had DLBCL with residual disease at ASCT: 13 with residual disease at nodal site(s) on...

Survival of patients with multiple myeloma has improved substantially because of availability of new therapies including autotransplants, immunomodulating drugs and proteasome-inhibitors. Second primary cancers have emerged as an important determinant of morbidity and mortality among cancer survivors. Even though there is an increased risk of new cancers of the lymphoreticular and haematopoetic...
متن کاملA systematic review evaluating the efficacy of autologous hematopoietic transplantation for diffuse large B cell lymphoma-type Richter syndrome
Background: Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) can transform into fast growing lymphoma for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) called Richter's syndrome (RS), which is commonly related to an existence of large B-cells with equal or larger size than macrophage nuclei or more than twice those of normal lymphocyte. We conducted a systematic review of the existing literature to assess the clinic...
متن کاملHigh dose chemotherapy with autologous stem cell transplantation in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma
BACKGROUND High-dose chemotherapy (HDT) with autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) plays an important role in the treatment of aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL). We report on a retrospective analysis of all patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma who were consecutively treated with HDT followed by ASCT at the University Hospital of Bonn, Germany, between 1996 and 2004. METHODS...

toid, erythematous-vesicular, or urticarial lesions appear on the periphery of and at a distance from the area of the original contact. Histopathology findings are nonspecific. Spongiosis and exocytosis are common findings, although vacuolar degeneration of the basement membrane or epidermal necrolysis is more unusual. Acrylate-induced allergic contact dermatitis usually manifests as eczematous...
